Having a motorbike that is 45 cubic inches I decided to make a belt buckle to suit

Method of construction

Artwork glued to 1mm nickel silver sheet
Cutting out with piercing saw
Numbers & border ready to mount on backplate
Belt hinge & pin fluxed ready to silver solder
After silver soldering - showing holding screws
Belt hinge & pin after soldering

After silver soldering the buckle was pickled in the normal way to remove flux residue. The screw heads originally holding the parts to the back plate were filled off and the backplate filed to the correct profile. The background was roughed using a vibrotool & then black painted.
